Artificial Truths

“Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past” (Orwell, 162). The future Internet utopian society encourages its users to live in a loving, peaceful world.

Algorithms are comparable to the Minitrue workers of 1984. It will recognize undesirable elements and swap them out with “harmonious” features that, in the algorithms’ estimation, indicate “love and peace.” In this civilization, algorithms will take advantage of appealing cat images to persuade more people to share the truth.

In this video, I'm attempting to reveal how algorithms alter our history and persuade more people to accept the new narrative. Moreover, people could customize the "truths" they want to believe in.
